SoftBums H-Pod Review

Cloth diapering my newborn has been quite an adventure. I forgot how many diapers a newborn goes through in one day! I found myself needing to wash diapers almost everyday and with a new baby in the house, that can be exhausting! Once I started using the new H-Pods from SoftBums my life got a whole lot easier.
If you don't already know about SoftBums, let me introduce you.
This Minnesota based company has been selling the unique Echo diapering system since 2008.
They are one of the few Cloth Diaper brands that offer a 1 year warranty on all of their products.

SoftBums has sent me the new H-Pods to review.
Disposable Bamboo Inserts!
The new H-Pods are disposable inserts made from soft Bamboo viscose.
They are one size inserts that will fit newborns to potty training.
Now I know your thinking disposable is not Eco friendly, but SoftBums H-Pods are biodegradable! They break down easy.
H-Pods are super trim!
Fold the insert in half for newborns and smaller babies.
They fit perfectly in an Echo Shell.
The H-Pods with the Echo Shell on my 7 lb newborn!

Love how easy this system is to use. With a newborn and a two year old at home, I need all the easy I can get! With SoftBums H-Pods, diaper changing is a breeze. We just change out our insert, throw the dirty one away and reuse the shell!
Hands down, we love the new H-Pods from SoftBums.
They also make diapering on the go a lot easier too!

Orgo Pads Postpartum Review

When I started cloth diapering my first son, I thought about how many chemicals were in disposable diapers and how I did not want chemicals around my baby. Then I realized some of those same chemicals are found in disposable pad and tampons. I began to look for an alternative to tampons and pads for that time of the month. I then came across Mama Cloth. I was instantly hooked, just like I was with cloth diapers! Just like cloth diapers, they are safe, Eco friendly, reusable, and down right adorable! Once I found out I was pregnant, I began to search for Postpartum Pads. That's when I came across Orgo Pads.

Orgo Pads was created for women to balance their menstrual cycle, improve there health, save money and environment.
Orgo Pads is a wahm (work at home mom) based company. I am a huge supporter of wahm brands.
I reached out to Vanessa, the wahm behind Orgo Pads. I told her how I was about to have a baby and was searching for Postpartum Pads. That's when she sent me two, both round and square 13.5" Postpartum Pads to review.
These 13.5" x  3.5" pads are made with 2.5 layer of zorb for absorbency, topped with either Minky, Flannel or Cotton and are backed with fleece.
I love the Minky on both of my Orgo Pads! Super soft and extremely comfy, feels like I'm sitting on a fluffy cloud.
I also compared Minky with my other pads and noticed that it doesn't stain as bad as other fabrics.

Overall, Orgo Postpartum Pads worked great for me! No leaks what so ever. These have now become my over night pads for that time of the month.

If you are looking for something chemical free, Eco friendly that has extra protection for that time of the month. I would hands down recommend Orgo Pads. Why waist your money on gross, chemical filled, disposable, ugly pads when you can save money and wear cute and comfy Orgo Pads!

Cord Care Powder Review

Being a new mommy to a new baby again, you worry about every little thing. Even his cord stump. I was so scared with both of my both that their cord would get infected. This time around, I was so happy to be able to have The Cord Care Powder from Birth Song Botanicals.

Nurturing women and their family, Birth Song Botanicals offers a line of natural products for pregnancy, birth, nursing, and more!
Birth Song Botanicals sent me The Cord Care Powder to review on my newborn.
Cord Care Powder contains herbs with antimicrobial, tissue regenerative, and drying properties. It expedites the umbilical cord's natural drying process by helping it dry out and fall off faster.
Ingredients: Myrrh Gum, Neem, Yarrow, Oregon Grape Root and Lavender.
At every diaper change, I would apply powder directly to the cord stump and around the base. I noticed a difference at the next diaper change that it was already starting to heal faster.
I was very happy to have The Cord Care Powder. I was always so worried about his cord staying wet and oozy. I was also worried about his diapers rubbing up against it and taking forever to fall off. But with Cord Care Powder, I did not have to worry at all!
With Cord Care Powder, my son's cord fell off and healed when he was 6 days old!

Cord Care Powder comes in a .5 oz net weight container. Only using my Cord Card Powder for 6 days, I had lots left over. When stored in a dry, dark place, Cord Care Powder can last for 12 months or more! Can be used to make a wash to use as a peri rinse for tender tissues or can be applied as a first aid powder for cuts and scrapes.

Check out Birth Song Botanicals on Etsy!

Birth Song Botanicals has chosen to give away a small jar of Cord Care Powder to one of All Natural Mom 101's readers. The giveaway will go from April 24th- May 5th.

Family Cloth Wipes Review & #Giveaway

I would like to introduce you to Family Cloth Wipes
Family Cloth Wipes is an environment-friendly, family owned company.

I am a huge supporter of wahm (work at home mom) brands. When I chose to cloth diaper again, I contacted Claudia, the wahm behind Family Cloth Wipes, looking for high quality wipes.

Claudia sent my a set of 20 cloth wipes to review.

I noticed right away how cute the packaging was, how well made they were and how soft they are!

These 6 x 8 inch wipes are double sided (2 ply) with two wipes sewn together to make one for a better clean up. They are 100% super soft cotton flannel with serged edged to help prevent fray so wipes will last longer.
They are the perfect size for a travel wipes case! I can fit about 8-10 Family Cloth Wipes in a travel case verses only 4-5 thirsties fab wipes. They make clean ups really easy, that be for diaper changes, face wiping or even boogie wiping!

What I love most about Family Cloth Wipes is that they are super absorbent and you only need to use one wipe per diaper change. One wipe gets the job done! Even for those explosions!
If you are looking into using cloth wipes or looking for something new to try, I highly recommend Family Cloth Wipes! You wont be disappointing!

Cute and Funky Breast Pad Review

As you may know, I recently gave birth to my second little man this month. I was so excited to breastfeed again! I love everything about breastfeeding, everything except the leaky boob part. I remember with my first, I had the leaky boob so bad! I would be out grocery shopping or doing my weekly mommy outings. If there were a crying baby in sight, my boobs would loose it! I would leak all over my shirt. It was so embarrassing!
I knew this time around I wanted to find something that would help with the leaky boob problem. That's when I came across Cute and Funky's Breast Pads on Etsy. I am a huge supporter of work at home mom (wahm) brands. So I decided to contact Brandi, the wahm behind Cute and Funky.

CuteandFunky specializes in reusable nursing pads and reusable cotton rounds. Their are two sizes, 4" or 5" and can come in regular or heavy. I was sent  5" pads in heavy and regular.
The Lighter Pairs are made with 3 layers of 100% cotton flannel, and backed with white PUL.
PUL, if you didn't know, is a smooth water proof layer. I found that PUL makes a huge difference!
The Heavier pair are made with 1 layer of 100% cotton flannel, 2 layers of Organic Hemp/Cotton Fleece, and backed with white PUL.
The pads are serged around the edges to help prevent fray.
The pretty side goes against the skin.
What I love about CuteandFunky's Breast Pads is that they are not the typical reusable, boring breast pad. They come in fun colors and prints! Not only are they prettier than disposable breast pads but they are more comfortable and Eco friendly too! Which I love!
If you are an expecting or breastfeeding mother, I highly recommend checking out Cute and Funky on Etsy!

Postpartum Herb Bath Review

As you know I recently gave birth to an amazing little baby boy! My labor and delivery was wonderful. But I forgot how your body feels the first few days after having a baby. Postpartum recovery can be rough the first week. But with the Postpartum Herb Bath by Birth Song Botanicals I was able to feel relaxed and relieved.

Nurturing women and their family, Birth Song Botanicals offers a line of natural products for pregnancy, birth, nursing, and more!

Birth Song Botanicals sent me the Postpartum Herb Bath to review after labor and delivery.
Postpartum Herb Bath is a blend of antiseptic herbs that may soothe sore perineal muscles, and hemorrhoids, slows postpartum bleeding, minimize swelling, and dry infants umbilical cord.
I took my first Postpartum Herb Bath or should I say, sit bath, the day after delivery with my newborn. I filled the tub with just enough water for me to sit in. Let me tell you, it was such a bonding experience with my baby and very soothing for my body. I had a small tear during delivery with a few stitches. The postpartum herb bath really helped with the pain.
Organic Herbal Ingredients: Plantain, Yarrow, Shepherd's Purse, Uva Ursi, Calendula Flowers, and Sea Salt. Organic or Wild Crafted
(Cotton Cloth Pouch Included)

How To Prepare:
Boil Water in a large Cooking Pot
Fill the Cotton Cloth Pouch with the Herbs (I filled it half way)
Once Water is Boiling, Place the Cloth Bundle into the Pot
Remove Pot from Heat and Cover
Let it Seep for 20 min.
Prepare your Bath Water
Pour Pot into Bath
Sit and Enjoy!
Overall I recommend the Postpartum Herb Bath by Birth Song Botanicals to any new mom and mom to be! I wish I knew about herb baths with my first baby, it really made such a difference with recovery.

Mom Planner Review

Being a stay at home mom and a mommy blogger, my life can be pretty hectic. With my busy schedule, I needed something to help me stay organized. That's where the Mom Planner from Tools4Wisdom can help!

Tools4Wisdom sent me the spiral Mom Planner to review. What is so neat about this planner is that it is not only a day planner but it is also a daily, weekly and monthly planner with goal, note and journal sections.

I love that the outside cover is plastic poly with premium gloss.

The Mom Planner has a full monthly layout of each month throughout the planner. Each month has the days of the month, an option to write your main goals for that month in the right hand corner, a section for what I call "fun goals" and a notes section.

After each monthly layout page, their are 4 weekly pages that follow after. Here's where the Family Agenda comes in. This would have to be my favorite part about the planner. I love that it has something for everyone in the family.
The top left is a space for your own Personal Goals for the week, right underneath is a space for Goals for the whole Family. You have your daily events with time spaces which is really nice to keep track of time. Their is a meal planner on the bottom to plan out your meals for that week and also a space for notes, I use as reminders. Did I mention the grocery list spot?! How cool is that!?

In the back of the planner you will find the Notes Journal. I have not yet wrote in this section but I plan on using to write important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries ect.

Overall The Mom Planner by Tools4Wisdom is a great everyday planner to help you stay organized. The only thing I didn't like about it was how big it is. Other than the size of the planner it is a must have for busy moms!
